How it works
A simple, clear process

Plan & first fix
We work from your plans to set out circuits, then run and rough-in all the cabling before the walls are lined.

Fit-off & switchboard
Once linings and joinery are in, we fit the points, switches, lights and a modern switchboard with RCD protection.
- 03
Test & certify
Every circuit is tested (polarity, insulation, earth) and the home is handed over with its Electrical Safety Certificate.

Indicative NZ figures: new-home wiring is usually priced off the plans, a standard new build commonly runs around $8,000–$20,000+ depending on size, the number of points and the fit-out. General market figures, not a UBL quote, we price it from your plans.

When should the electrician start on a new build?
At first fix, once the framing is up and before the linings go on, that's when we run all the cabling. Talk to us early so the points and circuits are planned before the walls close.
Does a new build need a Vector application?
A new connection to the network is arranged through Vector, and we can help coordinate it. Setting up the supply capacity or the meter position also goes through Vector.
Can you wire an extension or a granny flat?
Yes. New wiring for extensions, sleepouts and minor dwellings is everyday work, tied back to the existing switchboard or on a new sub-board where needed.
